General Manager
Job Summary:
A progressive manufacturing company is seeking an experienced General Manager to assume full P&L responsibility for an assembly and distribution facility. This senior level position reports to the President and will be responsible for providing leadership and effective management of a 400 employee workforce. The successful candidate will also play an integral role in planning, developing, monitoring and achieving key financial and operational goals.
Primary Postion Responsibilities
- Provide oversight management of the Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Distribution, Customer Service, Human Resources and Quality departments
- Provide strategic planning direction and follow-up to insure effective execution of key ongoing business requirements and special company projects
- Insure attainment of product quality and on-time delivery to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Conduct presentations and open communications regarding manufacturing operations to current and prospective customers, employees, senior management and suppliers
- Provide strong leadership to insure effective cooperation and support within and between all plant operation departments
- Decrease product costs in the current operation by continuously improving operational efficiency and component sourcing strategies
- Participate as a senior management team member and review operational progress against forecasted objectives, specifications, timelines, and P&L
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related major
- Fifteen (15) + years of progressive and proven general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience
Strong financial and analytical skills
Excellent planning, organization and PC skills
