Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* One year of experience in an outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting required
* Background and knowledge in medical terminology required
* Ability to communicate and understand English required
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
* Current BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in a related field preferred
* Two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
* Medical Assistant certification preferred
* Working knowledge of state-supported programs specific to rural health clinics preferred
* English-Spanish bilingual fluency preferred
