This position will be located at Target Field, the Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Sportservice currently has the full service contract for this 40,000+-seat state of the art facility, which includes concessions, premium services, catering and retail. 

The Opportunity

 

Job Title:  Metropolitan Club Server Assistant

Unit Name: TARGET FIELD

Reports To: Metropolitan Club Supervisor

Union/Non-Union: Non-Union

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older

Position Summary

Works with wait and culinary staff to deliver food and beverage orders to guests in accordance with Company’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Delivers food and beverage orders from service areas to guests in an efficient and timely manner
  • Provides quick and attentive assistance to any mishap
  • Assists wait staff in clearing tables
  • Cleans areas and assists with set-up and clean-up as needed
  • Completes opening and closing side work as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Non-essential Functions:

  • Assists host staff with seating and other club needs
  • Refills guests’ empty water glasses
  • Set up and break down of service areas
  • Restocks service areas at end of shift

Education & Experience:

  • Prior experience in guest service environment preferred, not mandatory

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to our Company’s Universal Service Standards
  • Ability to multi-task in many different areas and work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow job procedures and supervisor instructions

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; ability to push up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for entire length of shift
  • Frequent bending, stretching, reaching and walking up and down stairs as the work duties demand
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently for entire length of shift while delivering product
  • Ability to maintain one’s balance and maneuver between rows and narrow pathways.

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • Variable temperatures – required to move between hot, noisy conditions of kitchen and climate-controlled dining environment
