The Director, Décor Experience provides leadership, direction and analysis to the senior leadership team by driving product vision and product innovation in order to achieve goals and add shareholder value for The Home Depot's e-commerce platforms. This position will be tasked with establishing product roadmaps, organizational structure and end to end development for the most rapidly growing business at The Home Depot. This position will be responsible for the day to day performance and functionality of ecommerce platforms while simultaneously delivering site improvements that drive revenue growth, site visits and conversion rate. Working in partnership with IT, the VP, Product Management and Online Operations will deliver successful product launches, functionality enhancements and improved customer experiences. This key role will lead a multi-disciplined team driving innovation, support, product development, data insights and enhanced collaboration across multiple functional areas of the enterprise at large with the goal of delivering the world class interconnected retail experience for Home Depot customers. We are looking for a leader with passion for product management, user experience design, deeper understanding of audience based personalization and familiarity with data sciences.



Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • 30% - Drives product development from conceptualization through launch across all devices for assigned products
  • 30% - Defines and drives digital customer acquisition and engagement strategies to improve site visits, revenue, conversion, average order value and customer satisfaction.
  • 20% - Leads a cross-functional team of product owners, strategy managers, a/b testing, user experience designers and supports them in prioritization efforts
  • 20% Conducts competitive and industry research to identify industry best practices in E-Commerce application deployment

Nature and Scope:
  • Position reports to Vice President, Interconnected Experience
  • Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues – including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Environment:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 0 to 25% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 10 years

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years progressive leadership experience in ecommerce, innovation, product management, technology strategy and/or software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology field and preferably MBA or equivalent body of experience
  • Prior experience leading technology innovation, technology roadmaps and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture
  • Experience leading teams using Agile methodology or iterative life cycle development processes

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Ability to build and nurture partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respected thought leader in internet retailing, ecommerce or web technology
  • Proven experience leading large teams and achieving results in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Documented track record of navigating organizational white spaces and leveraging internal assets to create or co-create innovative, customer-focused retail solutions from concept to launch
