MLT and Lab Manager - Full-time / Part-time

A reference laboratory that conducts:

• Toxicology and Medication Monitoring
• Pharmacogenetics
• Health and Wellness Testing

Is currently hiring full-time employees for the following:

• Lab Manager (70k-95k)
• Certifying Scientist (60k-75k)
• MT Supervisor (55k-65k)
• Medical Technologist (45k-55k)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited program with necessary experience to qualify as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
• Master's Degree and/or equivalent experience for higher level positions
• Experience in a moderate to high complexity lab testing environment is strongly preferred. (HPLC and LCMS)
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) with ASCP or AMT required.
• LSBME license is required.

Location: Shreveport, LA

* Maintains all laboratory equipment and ensures all regulatory requirements are met.
* Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.
* Enters data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage and reporting.
* Operates, calibrates and maintains equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as clinical chemistry analyzers, mass spectrometers, cell counters, and computer-controlled analyzers.
* Provides technical information about test results to physicians, patients and researchers.
* Studies patient samples to determine the number of cells, and their morphology using microscopic techniques.
