A great company in Statesville is looking for a Secondary Processor to work Monday through Friday from 4pm to 12:30am with occassional Saturdays. This position would be temporary with the potential of going permanent. The pay for this position is $10 an hour. Please see more details below.
Summary/Objective
Secondary Processor will be responsible for rewinding, slitting, inspecting, laminating, cutting and boxing for materials that have been perforated.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
Operates the stretch wrap banders.
Uses tape measure and razor knife safely
Ability to move fluidly between tasks depending on departmental needs.
Reports/records defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking and bending all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of a high school education and factory-related experience a plus.
Also:
Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Forklift experience.
