QuadPackaging is seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician.  This position includes but is not limited to:


Maintenance and/or repair of machines and mechanical equipment:

  • inspect and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions 
  • dismantle and reassemble defective machines and equipment
  • install new and repaired parts
  • clean and lubricate machinery and equipment as directed 
  • fabricate parts and items as needed for repair or maintenance
  • schedule maintenance and repair work with production areas to facilitate production process. 

Maintenance and/or repair of the establishment:

  • paint, repair interior and exterior of facility – plaster and woodwork
  • assemble, install, repair plumbing
  • basic electrical repair
  • manage grass cutting, sprinkler lines, snow blow/shovel, plow.
  • Keep indoor and outdoor lights working
  • update and maintain the preventative maintenance process
  • record repairs made and costs.

Equipment used: Lathe, drill press, grinders, welding, hand tools, precision – measuring and testing tools.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance
  • basic plumbing and electrical wiring work such as switches etc.
  • Know code compliance process.
  • Electronics and computers, including circuit boards, processors, chips, applications and programming
  • Welding, carpentry, and building and construction knowledge of materials, methods and tools
  • Public Safety and Security including weaponry, public security operations, rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, filing, records management systems
  • must be able to perform and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compare letters, numbers, objects and patterns.
  • must be able to drive grass/lawn cutter equipment, back hoe and small machinery.
  • Duties of this position are indoors and outdoors. Duties are performed sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing stairs and ladders. Lifting 100 pounds or more. Must be able to make fast, simple repeated movement of the fingers, hands and wrists.
