Director of Business and Product Strategy

Description

The Director of Business and Product Strategy is a new role focusing on the following:

• BI Technology Consolidation roadmap
• Sales Platform strategy and roadmap
• Marketing Solutions strategy and roadmap
• Business Metrics and Dashboard development
• Agile Implementation across EDS
• Product Management across EDS portfolio

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to define and drive business unit projects that significantly impact the direction of the overall business and guide disruptions in a wide range of functions within the company. The group's mandate is to partner with the businesses to impact lasting change. Specifically, this leader will drive excellence in product management, agile delivery, and technology consolidation across critical EDS initiatives, including but not limited to Helios, MM 2.0, Analytics and BI Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Head of the Department for EDS Business and Product Strategy – Product Management and Solutions Roadmap
• Manage Finances – Capital and Expense within budget and look for ways to optimize spend
• Responsible for managing monthly and quarterly roadmap and key business metrics development
• Responsible for ensuring all technology delivery teams are using agile processes
• Evaluates strategic vendor relationships and works with Account managers to negotiate contracts
• Hires and manages external development services
• Innovation – This role is responsible for creating new ideas and incubating initiatives to drive business forward.
• Implement a new agile delivery model for launching innovative applications, like Helios and Price Right, and ensure high performance SLAs. EDS VP has asked this leader to operationalize Agile 100% across EDS teams.
• Creating a unified EDS portfolio roadmap and managing spend to budget across EDS.
• Incubate new initiatives (e.g. Answer Rocket).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Masters in Technology, Engineering or Business
• 10+ years of combined Sales, Consulting and/or Business and Product Strategy Experience
• Information Management, Software Engineering, Project Management, Delivery
• Experience leading teams
