Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Cardiovascular Manager, the Cardiovascular Technologist is primarily responsible for the specialization in monitoring of physiologic data received during electrophysiology procedures. The Cardiovascular Technologist also assists as a scrub assistant in any procedure being done in Electrophysiology.

  • This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year experience as staff Cardiovascular Technologist.
  • Must be proficient in interpreting E.K.G. and blood pressure tracings.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology and/or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist).
  • CT CC = Cardiac Cath Certification.
  • CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
  • CT CPRACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support – AHA
  • Required to function in invasive role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred.
