About this job

Prepares, develops and coordinates the site master plan and site master schedule to meet all program objectives for

Long-Term Down Aircraft. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically

integrated across company functional groups including, engineering, material, maintenance, and quality. Tracks plans

and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone

charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance

variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Performs technical analytics and report generation using

various computer systems and associated programs.

INCUMBENT'S PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL ELEMENTS. VARIOUS TASKS MAY BE ASSIGNED UNDER EACH

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION. THOSE THAT ARE LISTED UNDER THE EXAMPLES OF WORK ARE NOT ALL INCLUSIVE;

THEY ARE EXAMPLES ONLY AND MAY BE AMENDED OR ADDED TO AS NEEDED BY THE ORGANIZATION.

Designs, determines, and illustrates repair production sequence;

Creates work planning and work process drawings, catalogs, flow charts, and other data relative to aircraft build, removal,

replacement and reinstallation actions; Establishes forecast and coordinates a schedule for long term down aircraft return

to service; Maintains and/or completes required records and files;

Must be capable of preparing aircraft modification/alteration/repair presentations; Prepares and presents Planning &

Estimate reports;

Must work in harmony with other employees; Must be capable of effective daily liaison with site, program, and corporate

management; Coordinates daily with site/program supply personnel to ensure up to date status of logistical support

Must be able to work independently without direct supervision;

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;

Must be capable of maintaining effective liaison with Government Representatives, OEM, Vendors, and other employees,

as required;

Must possess computer- related skills associated with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Project

Education Requirement

Bach 2yrs experience, or Assoc 6yrs experience, or HS Dip 10yrs experience

Must have five (5) years experience in a mechanical / technical / logistical position related to aircraft maintenance and

material support, preferably with the T-45 aircraft and operations. Must have current knowledge of COMNAVAIRINST 4790

Series Programs, NALCOMIS Familiarization, ORM, ISO 9100 and AS9110 Programs.

Must possess extensive working knowledge of contracted programs, company organization and policies. Familiarity with

aircraft structural and electrical systems, tools, drawings, schematics and aviation/industrial safety requirements is a plus.

Must have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs. This classification activity is usually accomplished in an

office environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office

activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities

required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. The

diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an

environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be

required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be

exposed to electrical shock hazards.

  • Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
