Safety and Compliance Coordinator

Established equipment distributor located in Easton, MD is seeking a full time Safety and Compliance Coordinator for its 6 branch, 100 employee organization.

Must have advanced working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, compliance and training requirements.

Specific duties include:

• Conducting on and off site inspections for OSHA safety and DOT compliance
• Conducting on and off site training for OSHA and DOT
• Maintaining and updating OSHA, Driver Qualification and Drug & Alcohol personnel records
• Oversight of random testing program
• Pulling MVR as needed
• Regular auditing of HOS, PM's, and mileage reporting
• Work with Human Resoruces to investigate accidents/incidents
• Coordinate and host Accident Review Committee meetings 
• Keep all online DOT platforms current
• Monitor SAFER, MMTA, FMCSA
• Maintain and update the Driver Handbook as needed

Other duties as assigned

Required education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
• Five year minimum of experience performing both OSHA and DOT safety functions in at least a Safety Coordinator capacity
• Experience in each of the specific areas of responsibility described above
