Business Overview:

Markets & Securities Services is currently shifting non-critical support functions to Citi Service Centers.

The Business Support Analyst role is responsible for contributing toward successfully supporting Markets and Securities Services Risk, Control and Business support functions in a Citi service center.

This role requires working closely with sales and trading desk heads and management to assist with business strategies and objectives, and working with cross-functional and cross-border teams including finance, client analytics, legal, compliance, operations, technology and middle office to achieve set goals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Business Analyst team, the candidate will work closely with management and trading / sales desk heads to support business goals, and then leading cross functional teams including Product Control, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance and Middle Office to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and improve business metrics and key performance indicators
  • Maintain detailed control documentation, procedures, key metrics and audit evidence.

  • Financial analysis, including monthly revenue and expense reporting, headcount analysis, and annual budgeting

  • Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve the business objectives of the division. Projects may be related to revenue growth, expense reduction, client analytics or general process improvement

  • Lead all headcount, expense and cost efficiency analysis

  • Coordinate financial reporting, planning/budgeting and product/salesperson/client profitability analysis

  • Contribute to monthly/quarterly business reviews and various committee meetings as needed

  • Support internal and external audit management, deliverables requests, control issue identification, escalation, tracking, and reporting

  • Collaborate closely with middle office, operations, legal, compliance, product control and technology teams to ensure the business is run in strict compliance with all internal and regulatory standards

Position has potential to be Assistant Vice President.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in finance, capital markets, product control or a related field
  • Exceptional professional track record
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for modeling and PowerPoint for presentation development
