Sr. Regulatory/Approvals Engineer

Approvals Engineer: Be part of a team that obtains new Agency Certifications for new products and existing products. You will also maintain those Certifications through product changes, factory transitions and standard/requirement changes. You will work closely with Design Engineering and Marketing/Product Management to understand the market needs for the product and what Agency Certifications are needed/wanted, in order to sell our products into the desired regions/applications. You will work with a cross functional team as the projects progress through our NPI Process. You will read and interpret agency standards. You will create test plans. You will communicate with internal customers (Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc.), external customers and third party Agencies on a daily basis.

An opportunity to be engaged in full product lifecycle, from concept design to final product launch.

Use your creativity to find the best path forward by selecting the best Agencies to work with for each type of product.

Actively look for ways to reduce the overall Certification cycle time.

25 Obtaining and maintaining certifications 25 Oversee all agency communication 25 Work closely with Design Engineering 25 Create test plans per agency standards

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science

WE VALUE

  • Experience working for our with Agencies such as UL, CSA, Intertek, TUV, CQC, etc.
  • Experience with Standards and/or Directives used to Certify products for third party Certifications or the CE marking process.
  • Experience with wireless products and the Certifications that are needed to sell these products globally (such as FCC, IC, ETSI, etc.)
  • Individuals who take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
  • Individuals that assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations.
  • Effectively using data to make intelligent decisions.
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks.
  • Some test engineering experience.
  • Experience writing and presenting technical information.
  • Proven track record developing test plans.
  • Good people skills and being able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written documents.
