Job Description

Role & Responsibility of the Group Leader position

The Group leader is a critical, front line supervisor that has strong technical skills. They are to be the

subject matter expert within their assigned department. Key aspects of the Group Leader position are;

1.)Ensure that all employees are working in a safe manner and that all safety related policies and procedures are being adhered to at all time.

2.)Conducting daily safety walks within the department to identify any unsafe condition and taking corrective action.

3.)Ensure that all quality related policies are being adhered to and that all BoGar processes and team members are performing their tasks within the ISO guidelines.

4.)Ensure that all team members receive the correct training and are competent in their assigned task prior to them performing the task under normal supervision.

5.)Ensure that all production stoppages are reported and corrected in a timely manner.

6.)Monitor team member performance and when necessary, inform the Shop Foremen so that a coaching program can be established to improve team members that are under performing.

7.)Perform setup's and machine adjustments as needed.

8.)Ensure that the team members that are designated as setup members are performing the task to standard.

9.)Work as part of a team to establish effective countermeasure to prevent defects from reoccurring.

10.)To have and to instill in the department workforce, as sense of always looking for ways to make improvements. You should insist that all team members, at all levels, participate in making BoGar a stronger, more competitive company.

11.)Ensure proper communication is maintained between management and the workforce.

12.)Lead the department by setting the example in all things related to the day to day running of the department.

13.)Ensure that the correct tooling is being utilized and that destroyed or damaged tooling is brought to the attention of the shop foreman for investigation.

14.)Review daily Job reports to ensure accuracy and to monitor performance. Sign in top, right corner.

15.)Trouble shoot problems that occur and elevate the problem to the shop foremen if the Group Leader is unable to correct the problem.

16.)Establish good communication with the tool crib attendant so that tools are ready for the next setup.

17.)To participate in and lead Tool Crash investigations to determine root cause and preventive measures.

18.)Assist the Shop Foreman in problem solving, improvement projects and any other task required.

19.)Review all MO's after completion for accuracy and sign in top, right hand corner as approval. Correct any issues that may be found.

20.)Spot checks tub tags and counts for accuracy and compliance with company procedures on a daily basis.

21.)Lead and control assigned area during year end inventory

22.)Perform spot checks of team members quality & documentation during the shift.

23.)Maintain good housekeeping within assigned department.

24.)Approve and signoff on all team members time cards. Verify accuracy.

25.)Maintain and instill in the workforce a sense of urgency with regards to Safety, Quality & Productivity.

26.)Respond to and take appropriate action for all Stop, Call, Wait situations that occur in assigned area.

27.)Any other tasks that management may assign.
