Retail Sales Associate

We are an established business in Denver's Baker District looking for a results-driven Retail Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties. Sales Associate responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store's visual appearance in high standards.

Ultimately, the duties of a Retail Sales Associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store's sales goals and upholding company standards.

Sales Associate Job Responsibilities Include:

• Serves customers by helping them select products, contributes to the overall cleanliness and organization of the store, assists with special events as needed.
• Sales associate job duties include
• Welcoming customers by greeting them; offering them assistance
• Directing customers by escorting them to racks and counters and suggesting items
• Advising customers by providing information on products
• Helping customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions
• Following sales through to completion as often as possible
• Cross-selling products
• Documenting sale by creating or updating customer profile records
• Processing payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards
• Discounting purchases by redeeming coupons and honoring sales
• Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Keeping clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Teaming-up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
• Building productive trust relationships with customers
• Complying with inventory control procedures
• Suggesting ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store's design)
• Updatating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in related industry social media (These resources will be provided upon request by management)
• Accomplishes the organization's goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring chances to add value to job accomplishments

Requirements:

• Proven work experience in retail sales, knowledge of glass art is a plus
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English, bilingual is a plus
• Basic Math skills
• Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Track record of over-achieving sales
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• Availability to work flexible shifts
• High school diploma or GED; BS in Marketing or related field is a plus
