ABOUT THE JOB The Retail Management Store Commercial job family develops sales in an efficient and effective way in all media in order to attract more customers. The family optimizes our sales priorities and commercial and forecast activities. Our main responsibilities include developing and executing sales steering, selling the IKEA way, range grouping, pricing, range management and launches. This ensures an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability. Provides our shoppers with a customer-centric shopping experience by ensuring the customer is able to search, find, choose, and buy. This job is also accountable for ensuring the merchandise is full, clean, and priced at all hours, and that mandatory 31 is secured each day by fulfilling the IKEA Merchandising basics are in place.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
  • Keeps area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced, and fully stocked, and ensures that IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give visitors a positive shopping experience.
  • Secures a high-level of stock accuracy, replenishes, merchandises, straightens and maintains the Showroom, Market Hall, and Swedish Food Market.
  • Maximizes availability of stock.
  • Ensures displays are correctly presented and propped and is empowered to take action when needed.
  • Maintains basic actions in area of responsibility throughout the day and prepares for replenishment and the next day’s business through Sales Location Management (SLM, MH, SFM & SR).
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of top selling products: Top 30, 3 Aces and a King, so they are available, clearly communicated, and displayed at all times.
  • Assists in compiling test buys and takes actions on results.
  • Works in all selling areas of the store. (e.g. SR, MH, SSFA, SFM).
YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Solid experience of business processes and working methods within IKEA retailing.
  • Ability to drive the business with a strong will.
  • Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English.
  • Experience of creating and implementing plans, setting budgets and following up goals.
  • Ability to solve problems or find new ways of working by identifying solution sources and/or ideas.
