The primary responsibility of the Manicurist is to perform various manicure, pedicure, acrylic and gel nail procedures for guests, ensure positive/friendly customer relations and to perform all assigned functions/duties in accordance with established guidelines/procedures.

  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Maintains familiarity with all hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Performs all practical/signature services; including but not limited to manicures, pedicures, hand/foot paraffin, sculptured acrylic nails, gel nails, fills, polish changes on hands and/or feet and nail repairs.
  • Uses knowledge to correctly maintain and use all departmental chemicals/equipment. Uses all chemicals/equipment only as intended and as needed.
  • Anticipates guest's needs, responds promptly and acknowledges all guests, regardless of volume/activity or time of day.
  • Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
  • Ensures all equipment and work areas are kept clean/sanitized, neat, stocked and orderly at all times.
  • Escorts guests from lounge area to designated work space.
  • Provides guests with the most up-to-date techniques available, while ensuring a comfortable and relaxing Salon experience.
  • Maintains established safety/service standards for all appointments/services within allotted time.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Current Nevada State Board of Cosmetology – Nail Technologist License.
  • At least 2 years of Manicurist experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment.
  • A highly motivated and energetic personality.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skill to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
