Customer Service Representative

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE The Post-Bulletin is seeking an organized, outgoing individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative. This position performs a wide range of duties on the telephone and in person related to the handling of customer subscriptions, inquiries and complaints. The person filling this position will: · Answers customer calls promptly and courteously. · Contacts all expiring subscribers to maintain service. · Enters all customer changes, additions and deletions. · Follows up with subscribers and carriers regarding complaints · Assists circulation staff with promotion of the newspaper by telephone selling and other methods as needed. The Customer Service Representative position is part-time, 36 hours per week with rotating shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and rotating Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. There will be a 90-day probationary period, after which the employee will be eligible for all Post-Bulletin benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement options, paid leave and more. SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS - Education, training and experience: · Basic computer knowledge · Basic skills with an adding machine Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Demonstrates good keyboarding skills and telephone manner. · Ability to run a switchboard, cash register and make change · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Able to sit for long periods of time on the phone. · Must be flexible to work a variety of scheduled shifts. COMPENSATION: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour, plus retention commission paid monthly upon reaching goal with a robust benefit plan accessible after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
