L3 Technologies – Advanced Programs is looking for a self-motivated, high energy, technical Project Manager to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. Work will include full lifecycle project management support for a range of software development and integration efforts. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface between the Government customer and the development team and will be responsible for managing customer communications to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and reporting progress, issues, resource utilization, and funding status of all projects to the Government customer. The candidate will participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, software requirements analysis and refinement, design, implementation, documentation, and testing. He or she must have the ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.

Duties:

  • Gathering requirements

  • Producing time and cost estimates

  • Developing project plans

  • Preparing documentation for approval boards

  • Managing project schedules

  • Assigning and managing design and development tasks

  • Facilitate regular meetings to discuss work items

  • Provide primary interface between government customer and development team

Mandatory:

  • Current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

  • B.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline

  • At least 5 years of experience

  • Must have demonstrated proficiencies in creating and managing documents and presentations, using the suite of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Self starter demonstrating solid judgment – understands when to seek guidance but has strong ability to think and act independently under limited oversight and direction

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with customers and technical professionals from all levels.

  • Able to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong ability to multi task and manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment; able to manage project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep projects on-track

  • Experience managing software development and web applications development IT projects strongly desired

Desired:

  • IC Experience

  • PMP Certification

  • Familiarity with C&A processes

  • Solid understanding and experience leading both Agile and Waterfall development projects

  • Previous software or web application development experience

  • Experience using Atlassian Jira, Jira Agile for tracking work items and requirements
