The Boeing Company is seeking Systems Engineers to join our team. In this position you will design and build Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) products for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and allied customers. Our products intercept Radio Frequency (RF) signals, apply signal processing algorithms, distribute the processed results and display it to operators. They are deployed to manned aircraft, unmanned aircraft, ships, submarines, and ground mobile platforms. Systems engineers apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to the analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balances system of systems. This individual will assist with evaluating customer/operational needs in order to refine system performance and functional requirements and define physical, functional and program interfaces in support of our SSEE team. SSEE is an ACAT II DoD program focused on designing, developing, and maintaining the preeminent, ship-based cryptologic capability for the US Navy. The successful candidate will participate in the full system life-cycle for this critical program.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Qualifications

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Background in Electrical and/or Computer engineering
  • Genuine desire to solve unique, system-level problems
  • Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
