POSITION SUMMARY
Aetna has a high-value strategic relationship with BSwift, a private benefit exchange platform that enables an interactive shop, buy, and enroll experience for brokers, employers, and employees with health benefit plans. This platform is branded Springboard.
The Partner Product Management team collaborates with BSwift and internal stakeholders to design, build, integrate, and commercialize products that drive revenue growth and deliver value to Aetnas clients and members.
The Director, Springboard Small Group Partner Product role will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of 10-15 FTEs to develop and manage investments in and day-to-day operation of the Springboard platform. Day-to-day operations include managing the product features and shelf, evaluating opportunities for differentiation, cultivating strong business partner relationships, ensuring training alignment to critical business initiatives and analyzing broker and customer feedback to inform roadmap strategy.
Fundamental Components:
The successful candidate is a product management professional who has experience with managing a complex portfolio of technology and health related products. They will lead a team of product managers and analysts who work to define the product roadmap, manage budget, deliver impactful training and gather and analyze the voice of the customer to drive continual improvement.
Collaborates with the Sr. Director of Springboard Product Implementation and Testing and the Director of Middle Market Springboard Products to evolve the overall Springboard product roadmap, identifying synergies and capabilities that are applicable across market segments.
Oversees a team of product managers and analysts who will work to define business cases, partner with sales, service and marketing partners as well as key bswift stakeholders to identify market needs, incorporating voice of customer into product design, and building business cases that support investment decisions that inform the product roadmap planning process.
Collaborates with the Project Management Organization (PMO) to ensure organizational alignment and adequate cross-departmental Subject Matter Expert representation throughout the lifecycle (requirements definition through to testing and deployment).
Oversees product managers who build product roadmap, prioritization, and rationale for phasing iterations in the product development cycle. Oversees product managers building a prudent timeline and project plan for the full product development life cycle.
Inform the formal Scope of Work document contents and partner with the Sr. Director of Springboard Product Implementation and Testing, Executive Director of Partner Product Management and Bswift on business critical content.
Manage, mentor, coach staff and promote talent development and Aetna cultural alignment
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
MBA preferred
Healthcare background
Minimum 7-10 years of experience
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with an external strategic partner
Problem solving skills ability to clearly articulate a problem and solution statement
Demonstrates critical thinking and research and analysis skills.
Conduct themselves professionally with high levels of integrity to maintain confidentiality across partnerships and mitigate conflicts of interest.
Achieves buy-in through active listening, respect, and empathic leadership styles.
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
10+ years of related industry experience.
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
