Principal Infrastructure Architect - Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary

The Principal Infrastructure Architect at Hilton will design and implement information systems to support the enterprise infrastructure. The Architect will be responsible for ensuring that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements.

What will I be doing?

• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
• Ability to manage large and complex environments
• Excellent verbal and written skills

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience, with progressively increasing responsibility, in an IT Development, Engineering or Support Engineering role
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an Enterprise or Solution Architect and/or an Engineer
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud platforms, eCommerce platforms
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience with the architecture of multiple mission-critical systems in a TCP/IP network-centric environment
• A minimum of three (3) years of Senior to Expert level proficiency with Operating Platforms (Windows, AD, UNIX, Linux, LDAP)
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Information Security Architecture
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience writing and defining platform and security standards
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience successfully guiding the troubleshooting of issues in a distributed system, as well as working with operational teams and vendors as needed to isolate and restore service upon escalation
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with other teams and staff to identify the root cause of problems and making recommendations on how to avoid repeating problems
• A minimum of two (2) years of Supervisory experience
• Experience with capacity planning and capital budgeting

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• A minimum of four (4) years of Management or Supervisory experience
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience with basic and/or advanced TCP/IP network administration concepts
• Experience and formal training in Windows server products
• Experience using Active Directory for authentication and authorization in a mixed environment, including *nix, OSX and mobile platforms
• Proficiency with system scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, Shell, and/or PowerShell
• Experience with virtualization concepts
• Past programming experience in java, .net and/or other development technologies
• Experience with Splunk is a plus
• Hotel industry background is helpful
