What will I be doing?

Canopy by Hilton is the energizing hotel in the neighborhood offering simple, guest-directed service, thoughtfully local choices, and surprisingly comfortable spaces, so guests simply feel better going forward. As the Director, Canopy Brand Management, you will help lead, plan and execute against key brand priorities and initiatives while reporting directly to the VP and Global Head for Canopy. You will be responsible for helping to make strong progress towards the completion of all brand strategies and initiatives, while navigating the Company's matrix organization in an effective and efficient way to drive the necessary progress.

You will work closely with the brand head to craft short- and long-term brand strategies, identify priorities and help provide ongoing input in the brands evolution. You will lead the development of project plans against key strategic initiatives, develop clear timelines and develop positive and effective relationships that allow you to implement plans in our matrixed organization. You will provide support in monitoring performance against all of the top Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the brand. You will help the brand head handle and execute on day to day activities and follow up on all brand initiatives, including food and beverage, owner profitability improvement, as well as general innovation ideas.

More specifically, you will:

  • Drive efforts towards improving brand quality with an emphasis on bottom hotels, including support with the Quality Assurance (QA) Committee process.
  • Assist with monitoring evolving owner and brand needs as they relate to brand standards and other areas with owner profitability implications as well as providing recommendations accordingly.
  • Partner with hotel management, management companies, and hotel owners to implement successful and measurable programs to assist in exceeding revenue, loyalty, service, and brand management goals.
  • Provide operations, guest service, marketing, and sales expertise utilizing the brand and Hilton resources, program knowledge, and brand education support.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Openings team to ensure successful ramp-up. Assists with QA process to ensure proper opening as it relates to QA and Brand Standards.
  • Partner closely with revenue management to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Present and represent the brand at necessary internal and external forums and act on behalf of the global head when necessary.
  • Assist with day to day commercial initiatives and executing on tactical plans to achieve defined outcomes.
  • Support the brand head with handling Profit and Loss (P&L) activities and providing support with annual budgeting process.
  • Lead and coordinate high-reaching intelligence and benchmarking.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience including hotel operations, sales or marketing
  • Experience in assisting with the development of new strategies, building business cases, gaining internal/external support in a cross-functional environment, and driving implementation
  • Experience conducting market assessment and benchmarking to resolve strategic opportunities
  • Travel 50%+ of the time

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master's Degree or Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Ten (10) years of relevant work experience including hotel operations, sales or marketing
  • Two (2) years of experience developing annual plans, corporate budgets, narratives, forecasts and strategic roadmaps for large enterprises
