About this job

Responsible for the assessment and evaluation and clinical management of patients in the acute setting. This is inclusive of performing history and physicals (physical exam must be performed). Collaborates and communicates and coordinates care with all physicians and healthcare personnel who care for the hospitalized patient. Ensure all medical records are completed as required by medical staff bylaws, documenting appropriately for billing, coding and accurate clinical communication. Safely transitions patient care from the hospital back to the community including PCP's, specialists, and in the post- acute setting. Learn and implement strategies that optimize performance on the clinical indicators and geometric mean length of stay standards. Meet or exceed all hospital metrics set forth to reach best possible outcome measures. Adhere to all hospital expectations, bylaws, rules and regulations and make every effort to accommodate their requests. Participation in evening and weekend on call coverage as scheduled. Completion of all billing within IMED within 24 hours of rounding. Attend and actively participate in hospital and departmental meetings as scheduled REQUIREMENTS:Doctorate degree in Medicine. The position requires the completion of an internal medicine or family practice residency. The position also requires an active DEA license and Florida state license to practice medicine. Lastly, the position requires that the candidate either be Board Certified or be Board Eligible for Internal Medicine. Position in Orlando, Florida.
