General JOB OPENING NOTICE HYRUM CITY is accepting resumes for a full time Level II Public Works Employee in the Culinary Water and Road Department. Candidates will be required to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with rotating on-call shifts, and available for emergency call outs. Applicants must reside within 10 miles of Hyrum City Offices. Level II 1. Must possess a Utah Water Distribution Classification Grade III or higher with a minimum of 2 years of experience in repairing water leaks and installing water lines. 2. Must possess a Class A CDL. 3. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience: with a backhoe and excavating around utilities; and operating a dump truck, road grader, snow plow, and other miscellaneous heavy equipment. 4. Knowledge of proper barricading and signage requirements. 5. Experience in repairing water leaks and installing water lines. 6. Proficient with GIS software and SCADA systems preferred but not required. 7. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. This position may be filled at a level I by applicants who do not meet the requirements for level II. Level I 1. Must possess or able to obtain within 60 days a Class A CDL. 2. Must be able to obtain Utah Water Distribution Classification Grade II or higher within the first year of employment. 3. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. 4. Experience in operating heavy equipment. Starting Level II Salary $17.00 to $18.50 per hour depending on qualifications, and Level I $13.50 to $15.00 this is a full time benefited position.
