Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Emergency Department RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for one, two, or more patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Responsibility is for an assigned time frame and the Emergency Department RN will provide safe, therapeutic care for these patients by the use of the patient care process, by her/his self, the environment, and other health care team members with the use of multidisciplinary processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current CA RN licensure
- 0-1 year RN experience in an acute care setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
- CEN and TNCC
