Do you LOVE working with the public? Do you like to have FUN at work? The HYATT house in Falls Church/Merrifield is looking for a Bartender/Server.

Bartender/Server Key responsibilities:

The bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as food to our guests. You will also be responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar and beverage preparation areas. You are expected to follow safe food handling and service practices and work closely with the sales staff and food & beverage staff to service restaurants, bars, meetings, banquets and other guest events. He/she will comply with any licensing or regulatory requirements.

Bartender/Server Job Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of coffee, beer, wine, and spirits and be familiar with standard drink recipes.
• Basic mathematical skills. Handle money and give correct change.
• Must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.
• Ability to stand the entire shift, long hours sometimes required.

Bartender/Server Experience/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Food handling certificate in states or counties where required.
• State/local licensing and/or certification where required.

Bartender/Server Hours of position

This job requires OPEN AVAILABILITY which includes working AM/PM shifts as well as weekends and holidays.
