  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Courteous, helpful, skillful care is to be demonstrated to patients and their families, vendors, clinicians, and co-workers at all times.
  • Interview patient, measure vital signs, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height, and record information related to the chief complaint or reason for visit in patient chart.
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patient/family to gain cooperation and ease apprehension.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and conveys significant and relevant information to clinicians.
  • Review and prepare patient medical records prior visit to ensure chart readiness for clinician.
  • Prepare and stock treatment room according to protocol for examination of patient; assist clinicians with procedures, clean examination rooms, and follow proper steps for sterilization of equipment.
  • Perform EKG, injections, venipuncture, and additional skills with relevant clinical and business supplies and equipment.
  • Schedule appointments per standard clinical protocol.
  • Maintain a neat, organized work area, ensure logbooks and tracking system is in place
  • Maintain inventory of back office supplies and re-order when needed
  • Handle telephone messages or refer to appropriate personnel. Follow policy and procedure for documenting communication
  • Support mobile unit operations with the Nurse Practitioner when applicable, including: confirming and scheduling home visits, preparing documentation, trunk kits and other equipment, and managing the CareMore vehicle fleetMay be required to travel to any CareMore office location and/or patient home
  • Demonstrate knowledge and use of procedure coding and ensure timely documentation and follow up of referrals, task items, and provider needs for patients
  • Support the daily operations of the CareMore Care Center, including: patient greeting, check-in, check-out, and opening and closing Care Center
  • Adhere to all position applicable CareMore policies.
  • Ensure that all company policies are understood.
  • It is the employee's responsibility to act on all policy changes.
  • Perform other duties upon request of supervisor and as needed to assist in other clinical programs.
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school.
  • 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Amharic, French) preferred.
