*Electrician $21.23* - Full-time / Part-time

Looking for an electrician with experience with schematics and wiring.

This position is a 6 month contract to hire and 2nd shift. The position starts at $21.23.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

• Uses electrical prints to complete point-to-point wiring on complex control cases and complete machines
• must be able to read and work from electrical prints and schematics. Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques and the ability to use a voltmeter is also required.
• Knowledge of high voltage currents (up to 4160 volts) and electrical safety is also required. Assembles electrical components and installs on complete.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

• Voltmeters, hand tools, cranes, lift trucks, measuring instruments, torches, and hand grinders.

SAMPLE WORK PROCEDURE

• Read prints and schematics to complete point-to-point wiring. Electrical troubleshooting techniques to detect problem areas.
• Test voltage in installations.
• Assemble electrical components in equipment.
• Install electrical components in equipment.
• Perform other assignments at the direction of departmental supervision.
• Obey all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Three or more years experience in electrical repair of mining equipment
• Have basic tools or be willing to purchase
• Able to work any shift
• Able to work overtime
• Able to work weekends
