Description:
The role of a Senior Sales Associate (Thrive Ambassador) is to represent Kaiser Permanente and a full time account management team member at open enrollment meetings, wellness events, community fairs and employer service days. These meetings take place at Federal Government locations, National organization sites, Community centers and State sites. Events occur throughout the Mid-Atlantic States Region, which include VA, DC, MD but primarily in the greater DC and Baltimore areas.
Essential Responsibilities:
Represent the health plan and promote Kaiser Permanente products and services to members and prospects. Provide complete and accurate information to prospective members regarding benefits and pricing. Answer questions about the health plan and benefits to convey Kaiser Permanente's unique value proposition.Attends employer, community, and open enrollment events, as assigned. The purpose of the events is to educate and inform members and prospects about Kaiser Permanente and its products. Most events take half a day. May be assigned to more than one event on a given day.
Works a flexible schedule with unpredictable hours that may include evenings and weekends. On average, works 20-25 hours per week during the busy season. Some weeks may require more hours while other weeks may require fewer hours.
Delivers formal, stand-up presentations to employees and prospective members and fields specific questions about benefits and services.Acts as liaison to Account Managers, Sales Representatives and members. As the face of Kaiser Permanente, develops relationships with existing accounts, members and brokers and respond to inquiries.
Communicates meeting outcomes, competitive information, and customer needs.
Completes timely meeting summaries and expense reports.
Must successfully complete an intensive week of training before shadowing an account manager out in the field.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum three (3) years of experience in any combination of the following: healthcare, teaching, sales or marketing.
Education
Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of directly related experience required.High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Valid driver's license and current registration.
Additional Requirements:
Excellent verbal communication skills.Ability to work and interact with people from all walks of life.Dependable.Reliable transportation is required.Mileage is reimbursed at the national IRS rate.Able to walk great distance and lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Health care experience or demonstrated knowledge is a plus.Fluency in Spanish is also a plus but not a requirement.Excellent organizational skills.
