REPORTS TO: Director of Sales and Marketing

CLASSIFICATION: Salary, Exempt

SUMMARY OF POSITION

To assist in the overall efficient operation of the Sales Department. Responsible for the professional coordination of any assigned meeting group. All sales assignments as directed by property Director of Sales & Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Average Percent of Time

25% Perform administrative duties relevant to account responsibilities in compliance with Corporate guidelines.

20% Communicate with front office and reservations in order to coordinate and monitor Guest room blocks and special reservation needs.

15% Conduct walking site inspections throughout property and product familiarization programs.

15% Develop leads and secure booking

5% Plan and conduct pre and post activity. Access and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports.

5% Participates in solving problems with other departments as required related to t the Sales department.

OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standard, which may be established by the property from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with property rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Knowledge of Hotel and its surrounding location

Ability to utilize a computer system.

Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and Resolve conflicts.

Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work flexible schedule, as well as being able to work shift standing on feet and walking throughout hotel or sitting for long periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma required. Four-year college degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience.

Licenses or certificates: No special licenses required.

Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Other: Additional duties as assigned by management.
