GENERAL SUMMARY: The AERT 1 is responsible for the company wide repair of all 675 auto centers oil pumping and dispensing equipment. The average auto center has roughly $3000 in related equipment, so he is responsible for maintaining $2 million in revenue producing equipment.The position is also responsible for managing the national repair depot for the exchange of equipment with all 800 auto centers. Additional responsibility includes maintaining the warehouse of repair parts at Unit 4336 and processing all the UPS on a daily basis.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Automotive Equipment Repair Technician 1 is responsible for the repair, maintenance and replacement of the SEARS auto centers oil equipment pumps and nozzles. This position also is responsible for the warehousing of repair parts stocked at unit 4336 and the daily inbound and shipments via UPS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs basic mechanical and /or limited electrical diagnostics
  • Maintain organization and appearance of rebuild area and warehouse
  • Testing, disassembling and reassembling of oil pumps and nozzles

Updates tracking form of depot pool items to and from our auto centers

  • Daily UPS shipments in and out
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of necessary repair parts for pumps and nozzles
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of float pool inventory
  • Ensures all SHC guidelines and policies are adhered to in performance of repairs or replacement of Service Bay oil equipment

Required Skills:

  • Although most training is done on the job, the individual must have a basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic operations
