Role Summary:

The Field Specialist III- Rotator is responsible for performing services necessary to install, repair or remove ESP pumping systems and ESP cable at well sites while utilizing knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical machinery. Work schedule is 3 weeks on-duty, and 1-week off duty.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Field Specialist III- Rotator you will:

Pull and install all GE and competitor downhole units and all associated surface equipment

Supervise and assist the subsequent installation of tubing and banding of cable

Inspects and assembles all types of ESP brand submersible equipment, supervises and assists the subsequent installation of tubing and banding of cable, periodically checks system electrical integrity during installation. You will also assemble wellheads

Troubleshoot problems with submersible pumping equipment and all associated surface equipment.

Make field repairs to equipment and cable and recommends appropriate action to the customer to provide an accurate analysis

Perform and record checks on installed units at the well site, checking amperage and pump performance utilizing established documentation processes

Performs more specialized electrical work including basic and in depth repair work on variable speed drives, trouble shooting down hole pressure systems, converting switchboard wiring from one type of motor controller to another and installing voltage analyzing equipment and set up and repair of horizontal pumping systems

Diagnose problems and recommends or implements appropriate solutions for surface problems including electrical problems, sand production, gas-locking pumps and insufficient fluid production

Calculate required surface voltage, designates proper transformer connections and wire size, sets up surface equipment and insures system safety devices are installed and functioning. Starts and monitors voltages, amperage and production rates. Sets operating parameters on surface controller.

Check system design including insuring adequate HP and head lift, correct cable size and sufficient casing clearance, adequate surface KVA and correct size surface equipment

Provide customer with written reports, does necessary paperwork for invoicing, equipment identification and tracking, inventory control, payroll, expense monitoring, etc.

Ensure periodic maintenance and repairs are made to Company Vehicle

Maintain company vehicle with necessary tools and equipment to perform service jobs

Comply with all EHS requirements

Primarily work in other regions where assistance is needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

Minimum experience years of experience in

Eligibility Requirements:

Travel and work at other locations within USA

Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs

Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

Ability to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations – onshore and offshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care

Undergo Periodic fitness for duty tests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore/offshore remote location assignments

Previous experience in the submersible pump industry

Electrical, electronic background

5 years of ESP experience
