Sales Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Popingo's Sales Associates offer Superior Customer Service at all times by serving the customer's needs in a friendly and professional manner.  Great job for friendly, outgoing personalities who love performing a wide variety of tasks. •Operate a cash register to process customer purchases quickly and accurately, such as money orders, lottery, fuel transactions, etc.•Maintain store image by keeping store areas, both inside and outside, clean and free of safety hazards.  Keep restrooms, parking lots, sales area, etc. clean. •Stock merchandise on shelves, cooler, freezer and storage areas.  Rotate stock and front merchandise;•Acquire working knowledge of products and departments to answer customer questions.  Know advertised specials and store promotions each week and alert customers to advertised specials, new seasonal items, tie-in items or other promotions. Participate in suggestive selling.  •Perform additional jobs assigned by management.

Preferred Educational Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Equipment and Materials Used:
Computer, All Point of Sale Equipment, Calculator, Coffee Maker,
Fountain Drink Machine, Various Food Equipment (i.e. pizza oven, bread oven, ice maker) and Cleaning Supplies.

Working Environment:
Work is performed primarily indoors.  Environments can include cooler (28 degrees) up to 2 hours and the outdoors up to 2 hours.

Preferred Experience:
Previous retail experience.
Familiarity with special terminology in the “C” store environment.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, bend, twist and lift (up to a maximum 50 lbs) for extended periods of time.

Other Requirements:
Must be able to work any shift, day of week or holidays, alone, if required.
