Summary:The Retail Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to- day activities of subordinates and assigningresponsibility for specified work and/or functional activities; assisting in scheduling to ensure that all shifts arecovered; assisting management in covering and running shifts; performs all other responsibilities as directed bythe business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the StoreManager / Assistant Store Manager.Essential Functions: Assists other sales associates to maximize sales and customer service through coaching, counselingand mentoring Resolves all customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customersatisfaction in mind Administers all point of sale opening and closing procedures in accordance with corporate policy Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, accurately countsand provides change to customers as required Assumes responsibility for effective communication, coordination, and working relationships betweenassociates and management Follows and promotes customer service and cash handling policies and procedures,

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
 Requires a High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
 Requires a minimum of 6 months supervisory/lead experience
 Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy
documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
 Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
 Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
 Retail, cash handling, and customer service experience preferred
