A.PURPOSE OF JOB Maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and operate the cash register.B.JOB DUTIES •Welcome all customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional way as they enter the store•Professionally answer phone calls and use radios to communicate with appropriate department•Orient customers to the store•Answer customer questions•Address customer complaints by knowing who to involve to resolve•Observe customers and be aware of the signs of potential theft•Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements•Use the POS system to ring up the sale •Bag and wrap items, gift wrap when requested by customer•Prepare, breakdown, and clean coffee and popcorn stations•Accurately and efficiently ring transactions and maintain a balanced cash register•Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked•Comply with safe food handling standards as set by Texas Health Code•Perform daily tasks such as gift wrapping, stocking, dusting, general cleaning, and stock rotation•Enroll customers in Ace Rewards card maintaining a minimum 60% average scan rate•Collect B2B contact information •Communicate customers’ needs to sales associates•Partner with sales associates to create a pleasant, friendly and helpful environment for the customer•Have good knowledge of all the products available in the store.•Collaborates with other associates to work toward team and company goals•Other duties as assignedC.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •High School diploma or equivalent•Previous cashier, retail, or sales experience preferred•Basic math skills•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business•Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn•A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction•Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskD.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS •Customer service oriented•Great communication skills•Previous cash handling experience•Detail oriented in cash transactions•Good judgment and decision making•Takes initiative to get things done•A “can do” attitudeE.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS •Standing for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)•Uses repetitive hand motions•Able to move boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store•Lifting up to 40 pounds•Able to walk a flight of stairsF.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NoneThe duties and responsibilities in this job description may be subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation, organizational development, or other reasons.
