Description:

Aramark, a world leader in providing award-winning food, hospitality, and facilities services and uniform and career apparel, is seeking a Sr. HR Manager, Policy and Compliance to develop and implement HR compliance programs, policies and practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new HR policies and review/update existing policies
  • Research best practices and applicable laws and regulations, draft policy language, solicit feedback from key stakeholders in HR and Employment Legal to finalize and launch policies
  • Draft communications and manage change management activities related to new or updated HR policies
  • Develop and implement policy related tools and guidance for HR, managers and employees
  • Partner with the Learning and Development COE to design and develop required HR training courses for managers and employees; develop content to support key policy changes
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to execute reductions-in-force/WARN/position eliminations leveraging Transition Manager technology; consult with outside counsel on required analysis and manage severance reconciliations
  • Remain current on employment law and practices to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Lead meetings with HR Business Partners to implement new federal, state and local laws impacting business operations
  • Conduct trend analysis to identify compliance opportunities; develop action plans as appropriate
  • Provide support to myHR Tier 1 & 2 on policy implementation and training
  • Partner with Employment Legal to manage Department of Labor matters, including responses, resolutions and compliance implementation
  • Interpret, review and respond to escalated or complex policy inquiries
  • Assist with the investigation and disposition of employee hotline issues or sensitive employee relations investigations as needed

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 7 + yrs. experience in Human Resources with significant experience in Employee Relations
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-SCP/SHRM-SCP) is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • ln-depth knowledge of corporate policies/procedures and business operations
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to take initiative to identify gaps in service and propose how to add value
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, influencing and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in developing and facilitating training and presentations
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to build effective business partnerships with clients and local stakeholders and understand business implications of recommendations
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
