Description

Maintenance Mechanic I

The MaintenanceMechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, blending/mixing systems. Change-overs for package and containers, as well as Preventive Maintenance Orders.

Position Schedule and Shift

This is a full time, permanent position working on our 2nd Shift. 2nd shift hours are from 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday through Saturday. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required. Maintenance works 6 days a week currently.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
  2. Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate.
  3. Weld various types of metals.
  4. Make repairs to or replace compressors, evaporators, condensers, driers, valves, lines.
  5. Identify problems and completes repairs, with minimal downtime or supervision.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance tasking as assigned.
  7. Ready a production line for and aid in the start-up process daily.
  8. Have minor computer skills.
  9. Maintain levels in the inventory system.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 2 years of experience working in maintenance in a manufacturing facility
  • 2 years of pneumatic experience
  • 2 years of hydraulic experience
  • 2 years of electrical experience
  • Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long period of time
