Sushi Chef

It is the Sushi Chef’s primary responsibility to prepare the highest quality sushi plates/rolls consistently and effectively. As a Sushi Chef, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of food produced in our kitchen and ultimately the overall experience extended to our guests.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Primarily performs sushi preparation according to recipes or instructions and must efficiently execute intricate and aesthetically pleasing sushi plates and rolls.
  • Will partner with the restaurant staff to ensure the safety and sanitation of our facilities are in compliance with federal, state, local and Kona Grill standards.

Job Requirements: 

  • Must have 1 – 3 years’ experience working as a sushi chef
  • Knowledge of all kitchen equipment, small or large scale
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to transport and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. numerous times throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to speak and write in English
  • Ability to listen effectively, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge to others in order to ensure standards of quality are met consistently

 

Es la principal responsabilidad del cocinero de sushi para preparar los platos más altos de calidad de sushi/rollos de manera consistente y efectiva. Como un chef de sushi, usted tendrá la oportunidad de hacer un impacto significativo en la calidad de los alimentos producidos en la cocina y en última instancia, la experiencia en general extendida a nuestros clientes. Experiencia de trabajo en un entorno de trabajo de ritmo rápido. Capacidad de transportar y llevar objetos que pesan hasta 30 libras. en numerosas ocasiones a lo largo del turno; Capacidad para soportar la movilidad y ejercer bien establecido el paso por períodos de hasta 8 horas; Capacidad para hacer frente a múltiples tareas de forma eficaz y establecer prioridades.
