The Tunnel Car Wash Manager is responsible for all aspects of a top-quality, conveyorized, express exterior wash operation. The Manager will be a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and approaches business matters professionally and with a sense of urgency. The successful candidate will have superior customer service skills that will translate to great experiences with customers, vendors, and employees. As the first Splash In tunnel wash operation, the Manager will help the Splash In Team validate the tunnel concept; thus working in an ambiguous environment will be a key to success.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of general car wash operations, and more specifically Splash In Operations, staffing and managing a Retail team, car wash equipment and chemistry, general maintenance, appearance and cleanliness requirements, cash and inventory controls, coaching and training practices, and all other store functions. This role collaborates with the Splash In Field Operations Manager, Splash In Administrative assistant, and the Splash In General Manager.

Success in this position will be measured by achieving established targets for membership sign-ups and growth, wash and ancillary sales, and operational uptime. Also, the ability to influence the guest experience will be evaluated by the Manager’s ability to solve problems, drive employee satisfaction and performance, and maintaining appearance and cleanliness standards.

Accountabilities:

  • Sales and Membership Growth – the Manager will drive membership sales and wash sales through engaging employee experiences with customers. This is a key measurement that will determine success in role.
  • Operational Uptime – The Manager will perform preventive maintenance, general maintenance and repair, eM+ vendor ticket management, problem solving, snow and ice removal, etc.
  • Customer Service – The Manager will cross train all associates, so they have knowledge of all positions and can address all customer questions. The manager will support single wash purchases and membership sales and address customer questions, concerns, complaints, and damage claims. The manager will also build a relationship with the Dash In site manager to resolve fuel discount, internet, and marketing and promotion related issues. Also, retail area sales support and all other support of customers.
  • Reconciliation – The Manager will be able to operate and train associates on POS systems, registers, back office reporting, payroll, cash management, inventory, supplies, invoices, procurement, banking, damage claim reporting as necessary.
  • Employees – The Manager is responsible for hiring and maintaining a trained staff of associates, scheduling, shift leadership, and uniform management.
  • Appearance and Cleanliness – The Manager will maintain strict image standards for employees, overall lot, and car wash building and equipment. Daily maintenance schedule to include vacuum area, wash bay, equipment room, landscaping, trash, restrooms, and general vicinity.
  • Administration – The Manager will be organized and work with Splash In Administrative assistant on all administrative tasks, employee support, and membership sales and support.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • High School Diploma with an AA or BS degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in a car wash or retail operations supervisory role or HVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience.
