Senior Training Specialist - Navigation

We are searching for a Senior Training Specialist - Navigation at our Power Management - Norfolk, VA location.

You will demonstrate success by:

  • Planning, developing, and coordinating in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.

  • Obtaining information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.

  • Conducting training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.

  • Continously revising lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

  • Utilizing trainers with technical expertise to augment engineering staff.

  • Analyzing program specifications and develping program manpower, personnel, and training requirements using standard DoD and/or Navy algorithms and processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This candidate must be able to accurately demonstrate and complete the following with no little supervison:

  • Must be able to lift 40lb, subject to prolonged standing and sitting.

  • Must be able to obtain credentials to access military installations.
  • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and as well as part of a project team with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Education and Qualifications:

  • Technical Training in US Navy Navigation equipment and systems.
  • Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with US Navy Navigation equipment and systems, to include three (3) of the following (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in US Navy Navigation equipment and systems.
  • US Citizenship
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire.
