CNC Machinist

MUST HAVES
-2-5 years of CNC Milling/Lathe Experience
-Ability to read blueprints and follow specific direction/inspection
-Perform Set-up and Operate CNC Milling Machine (Mazak, Mazatrol Control)
-Must be able to perform all inspection using various tools such as micrometers, calipers, verniers

CNC candidate will be working independently working off blueprints and machining out large product mainly steel. The end components are much larger and heavy. These pieces often need to be moved by forklifts and hoists and the CNC milling machines are on the larger scale. Candidates who come from high volume/small component CNC shops may not transfer well to this environment. American Tool is really looking for someone to be a setup machinist but is open to taking a CNC operator and training them to become a machinist. Candidates should be comfortable with basic measuring equipment, set up and tool changes on machines, and read blueprints.
