The Mountain Safety Attendant will provide Skier Safety, Guest Relations and Information on Beaver Creek Mountain.  This position will create safety awareness through leading by example, education and enforcement of the Responsibility Code.  Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Committed to providing the gold standard of guest service
  • Maintaining and setting up/taking down signs and baffles
  • Conducting the Safety Talk for the daily Mountain Tour
  • Monitoring Slow Zones on the mountain
  • Blocking for snowcats moving on the mountain
  • Additional responsibilities will be required during Safety Week
  • May be required to visit Schools in the community to promote mountain safety
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs - required
  • Able to read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English fluently - required
  • Level 7 or above skier or rider - required
  • Able to work outside in adverse winter weather conditions for the entire day - required
  • Able to handle difficult guest situations with tact and professionalism
  • Able to enforce company policy and safety regulations with both guests and employees
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time up to 8 hours in a shift - required
  • Able to talk and hear using two-way radios - required

  • Able to work weekends, holidays and the entire length of the season - required
  • Familiarity with the Beaver Creek mountain - preferred
  • Previous guest service experience - preferred
