OSP Designer

Immediate need for OSP designer to produce OSP designs consistent with industry and client standards.

Successful candidate will produce designs including: right of way maps, existing utility drawings, public infrastructure design plans, construction specifications, and other design guidelines.

Responsibilities Include:

• Independently determine the locations for cable or conduit installations and consider all existing surface and/or subsurface improvements and constructability issues.
• Independently determines splice locations, manhole locations and/or marker pole placements.
• Interprets permit agency requirements and incorporates them into project designs.
• Interprets and implements client OSP standards during project design.
• Provides direction to technical staff during drawing production.
• Utilizes electronic data collection technology as appropriate.
• Assists project manager with the development of project bids by producing manpower and productivity estimates.

Prefer experience in:

• FTTH
• MDU
• Long Haul
