On behalf of Symphony Performance Health (SPH) Analytics, Headway Workforce Solutions is seeking Field Supervisors to work on the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) project in Washington, D.C. SPH Analytics, a leader in healthcare analytics and population health management headquartered in Atlanta, GA, empowers clients to analyze and interpret their clinical, financial, and consumer experience data to maximize their performance.  SPH Analytics has been providing insight to clients for more than 25 years and serves clients in all 50 states.


About the Project

CAHPS is a survey that asks consumers and patients to report on their experiences with health care services across a wide variety of settings. Field Interviewers will administer surveys in person to respondents in Washington, D.C.


Field Supervisors will:
  • Learn and follow project protocols for data collection and field management
  • Supervise 7 Field Interviewers
  • Closely monitor field staff performance during data collection to ensure field work meets all project specifications including cost and quality standards
  • Communicate and set goals for each field interviewer
  • Use project furnished computers or tablets to obtain and submit various reports as required
  • Meet daily/weekly reporting requirements for time and expense, and field status reports
  • Visit designated nursing homes in the Washington, D.C. area to conduct a 50-question survey with respondents who have agreed to participate
  • Be accountable to SPH for accurate data collection provided by field staff
  • Submit time, mileage, and expense forms daily
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by project management

Position Requirements:
  • Field research supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred, but not required. Bilingual applicants will be tested by an independent testing agency and must be certified.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Access to personal or public transportation
  • Ability to work well independently and under the direction of project coordinators

Training and Schedule:
  • Mandatory, paid, in-person training is tentatively scheduled April 1, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
  • Further employment is contingent upon successful completion of training 
  • Must pass a background check 
  • Qualified candidates should be available to commit for the full length of the study data collection (approximately 2 weeks)

Pay Rate:
  • Pay for this position is $20/hour plus a $2/hour stay bonus to be paid after successful completion of the project
  • Mileage reimbursement for any travel once field staff get to work in the morning until the field staff leaves in the evening
  • Tolls and parking are reimbursed during working hours

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations
  • Ability to lift and carry a computer notebook or tablet and project materials not weighing more than 15 pounds
  • Regular and reliable access to an insured motor vehicle
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit for periods of time, use hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Experience and ability to operate a smart phone and or tablet/ with skills and visual acuity including connecting to Wi-Fi and using/sending email on a mobile device
