Providence is calling a Social Services Specialist (0.6 FTE, Days) to work in the Children's Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Provides psycho-social parenting evaluation, consultation and case management intervention for children ages birth to four years and their family enrolled in the Early Intervention Project.
In this position you will:
* Provide intensive case management and support services within the family's home and community.
* Perform interventions focusing on infant-child care, parenting education, information and dialogue on addiction, recovery and treatment alternatives.
* Complete assessments of child's environment and coordinate services which include housing, life planning, daily living skills and enhancement of self-esteem.
* Serve as the liaison for the Early Intervention Program to community resources that provide services or treatment programs for drug affected children and their families.
* Maintain confidentiality of records, employee, patient or Children's Center information at all times.
* Provide documentation of all activities in a timely and complete manner.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology or social work
* Current and valid driver's license
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Experience in drug and alcohol exposure environments and child-family counseling, or developmental disability settings
* Strong knowledge of relevant therapy techniques and procedures in respective discipline
* Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the age span
