The Senior Collector 60 Day is responsible for recovery of bad debt receivables, helping the Collection Manager in overseeing year-end procedures, supervising 30 day callers, assisting 30 day callers in decision making and questions on collections policies and procedures, preparing files for accounts turned over to legal department, and assisting collection manager in dealing with area managers/stores on various collection issues.
Essential Functions:
- Assuming all duties of 60 day callers
- Assisting, working and training 30 day callers
- Assisting, working and training 60 day callers
- Working with 30 day callers in preparing files for liens and files turned over to legal for year-end process.
- Assist collection manager with various projects.
Required Skills
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Accounting Software, Internet, Database Software
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Required Experience
- Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
