Job Description: Customer Relationship Specialist Role:

The Customer Relationship Specialist will be responsible for providing best in class service by responding and resolving customer questions and complaints for our Customer Service department. You will have the authority to deliver a premium experience to our customers by properly diagnosing and satisfying the customers’ needs by making decisions, such as providing refunds, canceling accounts, or waiving finance charges. The Customer Relationship Specialists main objective is to use our friendly, helpful, and refreshing methodology to inform our customers of the benefits of making Discover the card of choice. Work Schedule:

·         Must be able to evenings or second shift options

·         Must be able to work weekends (1 weekend day each weekend)

 

Skills Required:

·         Has a strong desire and proven ability to deliver on excellent customer service principles on every call

·         Must be able to work nights and weekends

·         Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills

·         Represents the company in handling selected call types primarily new card member activation and backing up service inquiry, balance transfer, and customer retention

·         Resourceful and able to quickly find and locate policies and procedures to deliver correct information in a timely manner. Provides complete, accurate solutions within the call

·         Has extensive experience and knowledge of how to convey and position relevant, meaningful feature and benefit information within each call in order to increase Customer Engagement

·         Empowered to render appropriate decisions in order to improve the customer relationship

·         Collaborates by sharing best practices with peers and team

·         Acts as role model for the customer experience

·         Ensures compliance with our customer service policies and procedures
