Planning Department Manager

for one of our clients located in Chatsworth, CA.

The Planning Department Manager will…

• Finished goods planning
• Material planning
• Rough cut capacity planning
• Shop floor scheduling (finite)
• BOM maintenance (product structure)
• Routing maintenance (labor standards)
• Work Order Maintenance
• Customer service group management
• Inventory Control & Management
• Item maintenance (including ERP data)
• Product Cost Maintenance
• Purchasing requisitions
• Production Activity reports
• Manage obsolescence review & processing
• Monitor and address manufacturing cost variances

The Planning Department Manager Background…

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
• 3-5 years in production planning
• Good understanding of demand forecasting
• Be familiar with price quoting, costing, and purchasing
• Manufacturing experience is essential with cosmetic experience being a plus
• High degree of initiative
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Strong MS Office - including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
