Job Description:

The Retail Associate position supports the strategic business objective by ensuring all customers who entering the store are being taken care of to the best of their ability. They are also subject matter experts on all products and services Wayne provides.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers with merchandise and answers questions on products.

  • Performs daily recovery to ensure a neat, clean and organized store.

  • Able to accurately execute retail sales transactions in the Compass system and Great Plains system.

  • Enters orders that are being taken in store and billed to companies.

  • Fills out order forms with all necessary information with precision and accuracy.

  • Knowledgeable of all products and services

  • Responsible for entering all orders into system with extreme accuracy, both manual and online orders.

  • Allocates inventory from multiple warehouses.

  • Checks order status and responsible for reviewing each open order and report the status to the customer as well as give an estimated time of completion on orders placed.

  • Recommends alternative products to customers when needed.

  • Provides guidance and assistance with questions on employee points programs as well as help customers navigate through the site.

  • Assists in replenishment of inventory on the retail floor including steaming of garments.

  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of the store front and counters.

  • Upkeep of the store email inbox.

  • Contacts customers to inform of order status.

  • Answers phones coming into store with proper phone etiquette.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas.

  • Ability to provide the highest quality of customer service to all customers at all times.

  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects at one time.

  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule daily activities for the most efficient use of time.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and participate as an independent contributor with little supervision or as an active team member depending on the situation and needs.

  • Ability to send orders multiple times a day.

  • Can manage through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.

  • Ability to multi-task while under pressure.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism to a wide range to customers.

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as cross-functionally.

 

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1 years of retail or customer service experience.

  • Must be proficient in a wide range of computer software.
